Sasha is beautiful, brave, highly trained—and definitely not a scaredy cat.
When Sam becomes convinced that a monster is hiding under his bed, Sasha knows better. She has explored every corner of the house, and there are absolutely no monsters anywhere. But then something beneath the bed begins to bump, scratch, and buzz.
Someone must investigate. Fortunately, Sasha is a Siamese super cat. Unfortunately, the “monster” doesn’t seem particularly intimidated by her.
Told from Sasha’s delightfully self-important point of view, Super Sasha and the Monster Under the Bed is a funny, reassuring story about curiosity, courage, and discovering that being afraid doesn’t mean you can’t be brave.

Inspired by the real Super Sasha
Super Sasha is based on my family’s real Siamese cat, who is almost as brave, beautiful, talkative, and opinionated as her fictional counterpart. The original idea came from my son, who wondered what might happen if Sasha became a superhero. Two days later, she had her first adventure.
Super Sasha and the Monster Under the Bed is currently being revised and tested with young readers. It is the first planned story in the Super Sasha: Tales of a Siamese Super Cat series.

Found as an infant beside a river and raised within the sacred walls of an abbey, Raven has spent her life believing that her strange gifts and mysterious past belong to the goddess she serves. Her closest companion is Crow, a black cat whose uncanny intelligence—and unsettling affinity with the birds who share her name—suggests that she may be far more than she appears.
When prophecy, forbidden desire, and a dangerous man with motives of his own begin pulling Raven beyond the boundaries of her faith, she must confront a devastating possibility: the life she was called to live may require the death of the person she was taught to be. Through it all, Crow remains at her side—but whether she is guardian, guide, or something stranger has yet to be revealed.
This adult fantasy explores religious vocation, desire, identity, sacrifice, human relationships with animals, and transformation—along with the unsettling possibility that an ending may also be a resurrection.
